So ... here we go! our first blog post...
i think i should start with a little bit about the book...
We are 8 local women whom all had babies in 2009. We all would meet up every week at the local Early Years Center to keep our sanity.
The 8 of us would sit around and discuss what being a mom is like, and all the changes we were going through whether they be good or bad.
Some of us needed that outing and looked forward to that outing so much that we were meeting at each others houses as well. . .
Melissa Willis - the visionary for The Basket Case Files, had a wonderful idea of writing a book about what motherhood really is, and what it does to us as women, us as wives, and us as people. How much our lives change, and the things we have to go through.
and so began the book.
You will Laugh, You will Cry, You might have a similar story, or you might think we are simply all crazy for being so honest.
but one things for sure, you will definitley get to know the 8 of us personally by the time you are finished reading about our journeys.
It starts with talking about the people we are, and the husbands/significant others we have, to the conception, the pregnancy, the labor, first day, first week, first month, first year, the relationship now, and of course the last year revolving around pooping, eating, and sleeping.
